Recordare Founder Michael Good to join MakeMusic Team as Director of Digital Sheet Music

Minneapolis – November 2, 2011 – MakeMusic, Inc. (NASDAQ: MMUS) announced it has entered into an agreement to acquire selected assets of Recordare^® LLC, the Internet music publishing and software company. Closing is expected to occur during the fourth quarter.

LOS ALTOS, CALIFORNIA (August 4, 2011) – Recordare LLC has released version 3.0 of its popular MusicXML digital sheet music format. It has also released version 6 of its Dolet plug-ins for the Finale and Sibelius notation programs to support the new MusicXML 3.0 format.

MusicXML 3.0 has three main improvements compared to version 2.0:

LOS ALTOS, CALIFORNIA (October 19, 2010) – Recordare LLC is celebrating the 10^th anniversary of its MusicXML format for digital sheet music by launching a redesigned web site at www.recordare.com. The new site is more attractive and easier to navigate than the old site. It includes key information in German and Japanese as well as English.

LOS ALTOS, CALIFORNIA (September 23, 2009) – Recordare LLC has released Version 5 of its Dolet plug-in for the Finale music notation program. Recordare's Dolet plug-ins serve as "universal translators" between music notation applications. The Dolet 5 for Finale plug-in reads and writes MusicXML 2.0 and Open Score Format 1.0 files for the highest-fidelity translations available between music notation programs.

Recordare's Dolet plug-ins serve as "universal translators" between music notation applications. The Dolet 5 for Sibelius plug-in saves MusicXML 2.0 files from Sibelius. This lets Sibelius users share files with people using other music programs with the highest possible accuracy.

LOS ALTOS, CALIFORNIA (September 11, 2008) – Recordare LLC has released a W3C XML Schema Definition (XSD) version of its MusicXML 2.0 format for digital sheet music. Recordare has also released version 4.5 of its Dolet 4 for Finale plug-in, including support for validating MusicXML files against the new XSD version of the format.

The Dolet 4 for Finale plug-in reads and writes MusicXML™ 2.0 files for the highest-fidelity translation available between music notation programs. It includes batch translation features to automate the process of digital sheet music files from one program to another. The Dolet 4 plug-in supports Finale 2000 to 2008 on Windows and Finale 2004 to 2008 on Mac OS X.
